Google offers a tool called Google Analytics that generates statistics about the visitors to a website.
Google Analytics has redesigned the social reports to add more visibility to the conversations and activity happening surrounding the publisher’s content on its Social Data Hub Partners. Some of the data hub partners are Blogger, Delicious, Digg, Diigo, Google+ and Reddit. . It has introduced two new reports: one for data hub activity and one for trackbacks.
Data Hub Activity Report
The activity stream is now a standalone report. The Data Hub Activity report will show a timeline of the number of activities that have occurred in the Social Data Hub and the raw activities in a list below. You can also filter this list by any specific networks you choose. This option is available under Traffic Source > Social > Data Hub Activity.
Report on Trackbacks
Trackbacks or the inbound links are now available in a separate report. In addition, Google Analytics also provides context for the importance of each trackback by giving detailed information. This option is available under Traffic Source > Social > Trackbacks.
